After the harvesting period in 2015, Levidiagro bought all available quantities of paddy from Macedonian farmers and became major player in the rice processing and sales. Having the latest technology for fast and efficient processing and drying equipment that adjusts the percentage of moisture of the product as per EU standards, Levidiagro launched high quality product, controlled in his own laboratory and followed with constant quality control of the product at each step.

Levidiagro developed different packaging for all varieties available in Kocani and generally divided into two mayor groups:

LEVIDIA ST. ANDREA RICE

It belongs to the product group of rices “small” and is characterized by a compact and semi-tapered grain, it has a lower firm cooking but it contains a large amount of starch that helps the preparation of creamy dishes and soups. Perfect for a creamy risotto, Sant Andrea gives a medium consistency after boiling.

It belongs to the product group of rices “small” and is characterized by a compact and semi-tapered grain, it has a lower firm cooking but it contains a large amount of starch that helps the preparation of creamy dishes and soups. Perfect for a creamy risotto, Sant Andrea gives a medium consistency after boiling.

LEVIDIA INTEGRALE BROWN RICE

Brown rice is nothing but rice in its natural state.During processing, the grain is not deprived of the bran and the germ and hence its color is a dark amber instead of the pearly white as for the others rices. The main feature of this rice is given by the wealth of nutrients and fiber contained in the husk which makes it suitable for feeding children, old people and those who needs low calories diets because the calories assimilated by the body are released in a slow and homogeneous way throughout all day, ensuring a long feeling of fullness. It should be consumed in a shorter time than white rice or be kept in cloth bag.

Gala rice is produced in the Thrace region, being developed in Turkey from crossing of ROCCA x EUROPA varieties. Its only difference from Baldo is length and width; it is slightly smaller than Baldo rice. Gala rice has 1st class long grain (Type C) character and it has special color, fragrance and appearance of its own.It is considered one of the best in quality for any rice foods.

LEVIDIA GALA
